Connecting people to Christ, to each other, the church and the community.

Our Focus

At PAG, our focus is on knowing God and sharing Him with others. We believe God knows and loves each one of us, and wants to be in a relationship with us.

Jesus summed it all up in the Great Commandment, which basically says, love God and love other people. Our lives should be a reflection of Christ, whether it is in our homes, our workplace, or serving others in one of our varied ministries.

God has strategically placed us in Providence, RI where we serve Him in the inner city.

The key to it all:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him, would not perish, but have everlasting life.

It's not about who you are or what you've done.

It's about what God has done for you. Knowing Him makes all the difference.

Our Beliefs

We are part of the national ministry of the Assemblies of God.
As a denomination we believe:

  1. The Scriptures are inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.
  2. There is only one true God–revealed in three persons...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
  3. In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God's son Jesus was both human and divine.
  4. Man willingly fell to sin and has a need for salvation
  5. Every person can have restored fellowship with God through 'salvation'
  6. We practice two ordinances—(1) water baptism by immersion (2) holy communion
  7. Sanctification initially occurs at salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christ-like.
  8. The baptism in the Holy Spirit is a special experience following salvation; initially evidenced by speaking in tongues
  9. The Church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe 'the Church' is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God's offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.
